
Born in 1997, Remy Cools discovered watchmaking at the age of 11, at the open doors of a Swiss watch company in La Vallée de Joux.
During the visit, a watchmaker offers to settle at his workbench to assemble a watch.
For Remy, it's a revelation. He wants to be a watchmaker.
In 2012, Remy joined one of the best watchmaking school located next to the swiss border in Morteau in France.
Two years later, in 2014, Remy became one of the best watchmaking apprentice of France with the national golden medal.
Thereafter to obtain his 4 years diploma, Remy designed and produced entirely by hand a tourbillon table clock which will be rewarded in 2018 at the SIHH by winning the prestigious Young Talent Competition organized by François Paul Journe.


The same year, Remy made his tourbillon school watch to graduate his 6 years of studies. To achieve, it will take 8 months and more than 1000 hours of mostly hand work.
He then leaves to join " tradition workshop " of Greubel Forsey based in La Chaux de Fonds in Switzerland.
He integrates a small team of talented people, for working on the Hand Made 1 watch.
During 2019, Remy decided to become an independent watchmaker and create his workshop on the shores of lake Annecy.
